This Deal Makes Splurging on Summer Concert Tickets More Affordable

Summer is always a great time to see a concert, with many outdoor venues opening their doors for the season and several top acts hitting the road. Unfortunately, tickets for these shows are rarely affordable — especially thanks to the array of fees that get added to the face value of admission. However, if you’re really hoping to catch a show this summer, Live Nation has an upcoming deal that could help you rock out on a budget.

In honor of National Concert Week, Live Nation has announced it will be offering special “$20 All-In” tickets for a number of upcoming shows. This sale starts 8 a.m. local time on Monday, April 30th and concludes May 8th at 11:59 p.m. From the looks of their website, there should be plenty of great shows to choose from, including Kesha, Beck, Cheap Trick, and many more. There are even some less traditional options, such as the Game of Throne live concert tour, stand-up from Kevin Hart, and even former Vice President Joe Biden’s speaking tour.

As you might expect from a deal that sounds this good, there are a few catches and things to note. First, not every stop of each tour will be eligible for the $20 ticket promotion (I’m just speculating, but it probably depends on if Live Nation owns the venue). Additionally, there will be a limited number of these tickets available for each show. Thus, you’ll really want to be ready to log-on right at 8 a.m. Monday to have the best shot at attending your show of choice. Lastly, the site’s fine print warns that ticket delivery and print at home fees are not included in the supposedly “all-in” $20 price, but luckily these fees are usually pretty minimal.

If you’re like me and love live music but hate spending a fortune to go see it, this latest Live Nation promotion really does sound like a good deal. At the same time, I’m personally bracing for heartbreak as it’s unclear how many tickets will be made available or if the venues in my area will be participating. I guess I’ll know more this Monday at 8 a.m. as I try my darndest to score some cheap seats — good luck!
