If you’ve been giving all of your gambling dollars to Caesars in hopes of reaching their top-tier Seven Stars status, I have some bad news for you. This week, Caesars Rewards revealed that it was launching an even higher level of status — and, unlike other tiers that have clearly defined earnings objectives, this new one will be invite-only.
The name of this exclusive new status will appropriately be Olympus. And while eligibility isn’t guaranteed at 300,000 Tier Credits, Caesars does cite this figure as the minimum threshold for consideration. In fact, they’re highlighting this now because members will have until December 31st of this year to reach that number in order to have a chance to be a Founding Member of Olympus. Those who do score an invite will see their status updated in February 2027. By the way, Caesars isn’t the only gaming brand with an invitation-only status tier, as MGM Rewards has its Noir level.
So how many tier credits is 300,000 really? Well, the fastest way to earn tier credits is via slot play, where $5 in play earns 1 Reward Credit. That means that, if you were going to reach 300k just through this, you’d need to play through $1.5 million! Granted, there are promos that would hopefully knock that number down — and, hopefully, you wouldn’t lose that $1.5 million entirely — but the point is that it’s a lot of gambling. Meanwhile, if you’re curious, video poker earns 1 point per $10 played, table games are nebulously rated based on average bet size (or at least what the pit boss decides your average bet is), and sports bets have different rates depending on whether you’re doing straight bets, parlays, or Same Game Parlays.
As for what you get with Olympus status, you’ll enjoy a seven-night annual retreat at any Caesars Rewards destination, complimentary suite upgrades when available, and access to members-only events. Plus, you’ll earn rewards credits 40% faster. For those who make the Founding Members cut, there will also be a special Founder’s party at Caesars Palace in March.
But here’s why this new tier makes no sense to me: if you’re gambling enough to earn that many tier credits, I strongly suspect that a Caesars casino host will find you and offer their services. Furthermore, when you have said host and continue the game at such a level, things like suite upgrades should really be no problem.
With that in mind, I really think that this Olympus tier is just a marketing tool meant to instill FOMO in the hearts of players. I guess they’re somewhat succeeding at that plan, seeing as I’m writing about it, but I digress. Basically, by putting out this info now while inviting people to try to reach the stated minimum before the first round of invites go out, they’re likely hoping that those ready to hit Vegas hard will be heading to their properties with this goal in their head.
Needless to say, I really can’t advise that anyone strive to earn this new Olympus status — even if it may sound cool. Instead, if you’re going to gamble, only play with what you can comfortably afford to lose. If you get some status or perks from that, then great. But don’t put yourself in an uncomfortable position just for the chance to get invited to a party.
