Score Up 3 Free Movie Downloads By Linking Accounts to Movies Anywhere

It’s Black Friday and that means there are tons of deals and “deals” to be found online and in stores. But how many of these offers require you to spend literally nothing in order to get rewards? I’m guessing not very many — which I why I thought I’d highlight a current offer from Movies Anywhere.

If you’re not familiar, Movie Anywhere (known as Disney Movies Anywhere once upon a time) is a service that connects numerous digital retailers, allowing you to easily access your purchased films on various devices. Not only does this partnership between several studios and platforms take a lot of the frustration out of digital content ownership but includes some other notable perks as well. Case in point: now through December 27th, you can get up to three free movie titles by linking new accounts.

The way it works is, after you sync one new account, you’ll receive a complimentary digital copy of Happy Feet. If animated kid’s films aren’t quite your thing, you’ll be ‘happy’ to know that syncing a second new account will also add The Martian and Fate of the Furious (AKA Fast and Furious 8) to your collection. Some of the qualifying accounts you can link to Movies Anywhere include iTunes, Prime Video, Vudu, Google Play, Microsoft Movies & TV, and Fandango Now.

Something to note is that, even if you don’t have any purchases made on these accounts, just the act of linking them is what unlocks your free download(s). Furthermore, with new platforms and similar offers cropping up all of the time, it’s a good idea to keep an eye on the site to see what other free features you can collect. Of course, if you have purchased films from more than one of these platforms, it’s very convenient to finally have them in a central location.

To check out all of the details and look over the fine print of this deal, you can head over to the Movies Anywhere site. I’d also be remiss if I didn’t mention that there are some notable drawbacks to purchasing digital content instead of physical media, although there are surely benefits as well. Regardless of where you stand on such issues, it’s hard to argue with free. So this Black Friday, why not avoid the crowded stores and packed parking and, instead, stay in to enjoy a free movie or three?

For a good portion of my mid to late 20s, I made my living pretending to be in high school for television. As it turns out, part of the reason why I could pass for younger is that I can't grow a beard to save my life. Unfortunately, this lack of growth also means that,...
