Solis Lite and 5G WiFi hoyspots

Solis is Offering an End-of-Year Sale Perfect for Your 2024 Travels

If your 2024 plans include travel overseas, then Solis may have a deal for you. The WiFi hotspot provider (which I’ve personally used for years) is currently hosting an End of the Year sale that includes discounts on two of its devices.

First up, the Solis Lite is on sale for $99 (compared to the regular price of $159.99). This device is akin the original Solis device that I own and reviewed, providing 4G LTE wireless data in more than 135 countries and doubling as a power bank. The Lite model also supports up to 10 devices connecting at the same time.

Meanwhile, the newer Solis 5G hotspot it currently available for $249 rather than the regular $399.99. This is a significant discount and even bests what the company offered on Black Friday/Cyber Money. For me, it also brings the 5G device down to a price that I think might make it worth it — especially now that Solis’s devices offer some included data (more on that in a moment). The 5G hotspot supports up to 16 simultaneous connections and features a touchscreen interface that should make connecting even easier.

As I mentioned, one big change to Solis since I first got my device is that they now include “lifetime data.” This perk is limited to 1 GB of global data per month, but still amounts to a sizeable benefit. If you do need additional data, Solis has a number of plans, including day passes, per GB plans, and more.

I should note that, as much as I’ve enjoyed using my Solis device, it does have some restrictions. Namely, since the WiFi is provided via cellular connection, this means that service won’t be available in areas where a cellular connection isn’t available. For example, the device won’t be helpful on airplanes or cruise ships. Similarly, remote areas where cell reception is weak will likely also mean poor data connection. However, if you’re in a metropolitan part of one of the 135+ countries that Solis supports, then you should be good to go.

By the way, on top of these End-of-Year sale discounts, I’ve confirmed that my promo code works as well! So, if you want to save an additional 10%, use the code MONEY30 at checkout.

Even though my current Solis device still works fine, I’ve been thinking about upgrading to the new 5G hotspot model just for comparison purposes. In particular, I’m interested in the new interface the device features. Because of this, the current sale has me thinking that now may be the time to pick one up. Alas, being a new homeowner has made my finances a bit tight at the moment, so I may have to pass for now. But, if you’re looking for a WiFi hotspot device for your 2024 travels, I honestly think you’d do well to pick up a Solis Lite or 5G device while this sale lasts.
