Allbirds is Celebrating Independence Day with a 50% Off Sale

One funny thing about summer is how a sunny day can quickly turn into a heavy downpour. This is even more prominent in certain parts of the country where you may be headed on a summer vacation (I’m looking at you, Florida!). So, given that weather reality, it makes perfect sense that Allbirds would be hosting a special sale — including on some of their water-resistant shoe options.

Officially tied to the Independence Day holiday this week, you can currently save up to 50% on select Allbirds styles. That works out to be a tremendous value as my beloved high tops can be yours for less than $75 during this sale. I’ve gone on the record several times, stating that my favorite Allbirds are the Wool Runner-Up Mizzles. In fact, these have not just become my go-to travel shoe but also what I wear on most days. Despite that, they’ve held up well and remain extremely comfortable (more so than the low-top versions, I’ll add).

Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of Runner Up Mizzle color options at this time, but you can’t go wrong with the few editions that are available. Plus, for just a few dollars more ($75 versus $72), you can also pick up the Runner-Up Protect kicks with extra features to ensure your feet stay dry. FWIW, I personally dig the Stony Beige colorway for this one, although the black is a classic for a reason.

That said, if you don’t care for high-tops or just want to go another way, Mizzles versions of the Wool Runner and Wool Dasher are available as well as the Runner Protect models. Or, if water repellance isn’t a priority, you can find a variety of other Allbirds styles on sale for as little as $50.

In the event that you end up missing out on this sale, there’s some good news as the Allbirds ReRun shop is still an option. These gently used shoes can be claimed at steep discounts that may even exceed the current sale prices. Plus, although sizes are limited, you may even be able to score some past limited-edition colorways thanks to ReRun.

Honestly, for as much as I write about them, I’m always reminded how great of a travel shoe my Runner-Up Mizzles are when I wear them. As someone who hates nothing more than wet socks, being able to avoid that fate at all costs while staying comfortable is a huge win for me. With that in mind, if you’ve been looking to snag a pair of Allbirds Mizzles or other styles for yourself, this current summer sale may be your best opportunity to do so for a while.
