Earn Easy Cash Back as Dosh App Continues to Expand

Dosh app screenshotA few months ago, I was alerted to an app called Dosh that allowed you to earn cash back on certain purchases. After signing up to join the beta, downloading the app, and gleefully linking my first card (an act for which I earned a bonus $5), I ran into a problem: there were no participating stores in my area.  Thankfully, that’s changed over the past few months as the app has brought on some new partners.

Some of recent additions include Hallmark Gold Crown and Forever 21, while Sam’s Club, Denny’s, and others offer Dosh rewards as well. Beyond the brick and mortar location, Dosh also offers deals for dozens of online retailers. To earn these rewards, all you need to do is shop/dine at a participating location and pay using your linked credit card. The amount of cash back you’ll earn depends on the retailer and can range from 2% to 10% in my experience. Once you’ve earned at least $15 in cash back, you can either transfer your funds to yourself or donate them to a worthwhile charity.

Looking to earn even more rewards? Dosh has also introduced a travel section with cash back deals. For example, I found a hotel room in Hong Kong that would offer me a total of $73.16 cash back for a two-night stay. Better yet, I compared the room’s rate to Expedia and found it was already $16 per night cheaper before the cash back was even factored in. Needless to say, it looks like I’ll be checking in on Dosh when booking my next vacation.

At long last, the promise of Dosh is coming to fruition as the app continues to add more retailers, restaurants, and travel destinations to their ranks, including some I’ll likely be hitting up this holiday season. As a result, I’m definitely excited to finally dive into the app and give my full review (so watch out for that). In the meantime, be sure to check out Dosh in the App Store and Google Play store.

Would it Be Wrong to Try This Potential Free Checked Bag Trick?
I don't remember the last time I paid for a checked bag on a plane. Granted. I've paid for carry-ons while flying Allegiant — but, in the cases where I have elected to check a bag in recent years, it's been a free gate check since I occasionally volunteer to part with my bag early...
