Pepper Rewards app on a phone and a happy customer

How You Can Save Even More with Pepper Rewards This Month

A mere few weeks ago, I discovered an app called Pepper Rewards — and I’ve been in love with it since. Simply put, the app allows you to buy digital gift cards from several brands and earn 5% back. While this 5% back can’t be used for cash, it can easily be redeemed for more gift cards (in $5 increments). But, on top of that, the app has also been rolling out numerous bonus offers.

With these deals, Pepper Rewards users can instantly save on gift cards from select brands while also earning their 5% rebate. Here’s a list of some upcoming offers (as provided to me by Pepper).

  • March 20-22: Jersey Mike’s – Spend $25, Get $5 Off Instantly
  • March 21-23: Auntie Anne’s – Spend $25+, Get $7 Off Instantly
  • March 21-24: Uber – 10% instant off
  • March 21-24: Uber Eats – 10% instant off
  • March 25-31: Instacart – 10% off instantly
  • March 27-29: Cinnabon – Spend $25+, Get $7 Off Instantly
  • March 27-30: Jamba Juice – Spend $25+, Get $7 Off Instantly
  • April 5-8: Doordash – 10% off instantly

As you can see, there are a bevy of deals available now or in the works. However, they do take on a couple of different forms. For example, the Uber/Uber Eats deal offers 10% off while others offer a set dollar amount off instead. Also of note, each of these deals is one per person.

In addition to these savings, those taking advantage of these deals will also earn the standard 5% back — but only on the subtotal. So, if you purchased a $25 gift card for Jersey Mike’s for $20 during this deal, you’d only earn 5% back on the $20 spent.

Of the deals on this slate, the one that interests me the most is the Uber Eats one (since I could combine it with the UberCash I get from my Amex Platinum and Gold cards). What’s more, this one is one of the most lucrative since you could buy a $500 gift card for $450 — and earn $22.50 in additional rewards. Of course, I don’t think I need $500 in Uber Eats right now, so I’ll stick to a small number.

It's Awesome: Pepper 5% Back

Like I said, Pepper has quickly become one of my favorite apps. But, as I noted in my review, my only fear is that the platform will scale back on its rewards. Well, that doesn’t seem to be the case yet as they’ve only managed to add deals and offers since I joined. That said, aside from the Uber Eats option, none of these currect offers really appeal all that much to me. Nevertheless, I’ll be keeping a close eye on Pepper Rewards going forward to see what else they might have up their sleeves.
