PayPal Launches “Moola Mania” Sweepstakes and Game

Moola ManiaAs a one-time eBay obsessor, I’ve been using PayPal for quite a long time. However, that usage has seemingly increased as of late — even in the face of competition from Apple, Venmo, Square Cash, and others. While I can’t quite explain what’s been leading me to click that PayPal button more often these days, I can say that their recent Moola Mania sweepstakes is sure to continue the trend.

PayPal’s Moola Mania combines elements of Starbucks’ “Starbucks for Life” promotion, the game Plinko from The Price is Right (later hijacked by NBC’s The Wall), and all those classic 8-bit video games of the 80s. After gaining a play credit — which I’ll explain in a minute — you can select where to drop your coin from before it bounces off various pegs on its way to the bottom. Should your coin land in the center of the screen when all is said in done, you’ll be rewarded with the instant win prize of $5. Otherwise, you’ll receive a token that corresponds to one of four prize values: $10, $100, $1,000, or $10,000. In order to win these prizes, you’ll need to collect all three of the tokens that make up that category.

So how do you get plays for Moola Mania? The main way is to complete purchases using PayPal. As the game’s rules note, these purchases must display as “completed” in your account to qualify. If this applies to you, PayPal will then e-mail you a code to redeem on the Moola Mania site. Alternatively, you can get one free play by visiting PayPal.com/MoolaMania/CR and login to request a free code. After you receive that code, you can head to PayPal.com/MoolaMania/OAMOE to play.

Sadly, I have yet to win a prize from Moola Mania as I’ve only received two codes so far, but I do enjoy the concept. That said, I kind of wish they’d let you play the game just for fun outside of the content just because of how fun it is (although I suppose they don’t want you getting too good at it, right?). So, if you want to try the Moola Mania out for yourself and perhaps win some money along the way, go ahead and start today. The game runs until March 15th.

Solis is Launching Yet Another New Global WiFi Hotspot Model
Back in 2019, I purchased my first Solis (then known as Skyroam Solis) international hotspot device. Since then, though, the company has rolled out a number of new models — and that pace has really hastened over the past couple of years. That continued this month as preorders for their new Solis Tag device opened....

Everything You Need to Know About Flying Allegiant Air in 2026
Updated on February 3, 2026 When my wife and I moved to Springfield, Missouri more than a decade ago, one of the selling points (or at least what kept it in the running) was that there was a nearby airport that served a decent number of destinations. Unfortunately, while it is convenient, flying out of...

Travel Tuesday: July Capsule Carry On Pro Luggage Review
I've never been a big fan of hardshell luggage. Even as I've seen them become the preferred option among travelers that I see in the airport, not that I'm keeping a strict count, I never really understood them. Mainly, my issue is that the typical clamshell design that splits the bag into two equal parts...
Another Centurion Lounge Access Policy Update is Now in Effect
Over the past several years, the popularity of airport lounge networks has caused these locations to adjust their entry rules. For example, Delta Sky Clubs now limit the number of times Amex Platinum and Delta SkyMiles Reserve cardholders can visit per year, while Amex's own Centurion lounges have disallowed cardmembers from bringing guests — although,...
Amex's Saks Fifth Avenue "Make Good" Offers Are More "Meh"
Back in March, American Express announced that the semi-annual Saks Fifth Avenue credit that had been offered on the Platinum card would be removed on July 1st. As I noted when sharing that news, this wasn't a huge loss as the Saks online shopping experience had gotten noticeably worse over the years, making it harder...
